Youth and Outreach

The youth of Pine Forest UMC, The Refuge, are a unique group in that they genuinely care about one another and support each other. In addition to having a lot of fun, the goal for our youth is to have a solid understanding of the Gospel and a loving relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is the desire of Pine Forest UMC that these young folks be a light for Christ shining brightly at school, on the football field, at chorus practice, or anywhere they might be.

Knowing that they will face difficult challenges in life, these kids are taught to stand on the truth of God's word in the midst of adversity. They learn the Scriptures so that they can truly know the truth and apply it to their everyday lives.

The Refuge meets Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. We enjoy catching up, a lesson, and praying for one another. We enjoy activities bowling, putt-putt, and various other activities. We serve on a mission trip each summer and attend the Pilgrimage Youth Conference each year in November.
